In the early morning of November 2, an ancient pine tree was uprooted and fell across National Highway 27 through D'Ran Commune, Lam Dong Province, causing traffic congestion on the route connecting Lam Dong - Phan Rang (Khanh Hoa) for more than 2 hours.
According to the Eo Gio Traffic Police Team (Traffic Police Team No. 1 - Lam Vien Da Lat, Lam Dong Provincial Police), at 5:30 a.m., during the patrol, the authorities discovered a pine tree over 20m high uprooted from the positive slope, blocking the road surface.
A series of vehicles traveling in the direction of Da Lat - Nha Trang and vice versa were congested at the scene.

Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties. Traffic police, police, militia of D'Ran commune and local people quickly coordinated to sawed and clear fallen trees, and clear the road.

Three other pine trees at risk of falling were also trimmed to ensure safety. By 7:30 a.m. the same day, National Highway 27 was reopened.

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, due to heavy rain on the evening of October 28, the Treo bridge - D'Ran Pass area on National Highway 20 was seriously eroded, and the authorities have banned traffic through the pass (the route is still not open).
National Highway 27 through D'Ran commune turns onto National Highway 20, the shortest road from Phan Rang (Khanh Hoa) to Da Lat (Lam Dong), so the incident of fallen trees makes traffic in this area even more difficult.
