On the morning of February 5, information from the Department of Transport of Dak Nong province said that the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project is expected to start construction in September 2025.
According to the assessment, up to now, regarding the task proposed to the Government, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has been slower than planned in handling the implementation of the expressway project within the bauxite planning area.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to urgently coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade to promptly advise and direct the implementation of the assessment of the effectiveness of bauxite exploitation according to the direction of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
The investor of component project 2 is the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board. According to the plan, this unit must complete the contractor selection, construction and implementation.
However, the investor is currently preparing a survey task outline and a feasibility study report, so it does not meet the requirements of the plan.
As for component project 4, invested by Dak R'lap District People's Committee, site clearance must be completed by July 2025.
However, the investor's work on the task outline and cost estimate for site clearance consultancy... is still slow and does not meet the plan.
Regarding the funding source for the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway project, representatives of the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance committed to being flexible and balancing sufficient capital sources to ensure project implementation.
Regarding the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project, Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi directed to only discuss and not to discuss further. First of all, specialized units committed to arranging medium-term funding to serve the project implementation.
Regarding some issues related to the consulting unit, it is not necessary to wait. For any work within the authority, departments, branches, and investors can proactively implement it to ensure the project's progress.
For site clearance and resettlement, the investor makes a complete list and then mobilizes the people. On this basis, all relevant units join in to resolve and carry out site clearance synchronously.
Regarding the issue of bauxite and earth filling materials, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to take primary responsibility. The Department will coordinate with relevant units to implement, avoiding the situation where the project is stuck when it is implemented...
The Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) expressway project is 128.8km long, with a 4-lane design.
The Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway project through Dak Nong province is being implemented with a length of 27.8km.
The total investment of the project is 25,500 billion VND. Of which, the central budget is 10,500 billion VND. Binh Phuoc province budget is 1,200 billion VND; Dak Nong province budget is 1,000 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026 and put into operation in 2027.
