On December 26, the Department of Transport of Quang Binh province said that it is in the process of clearing the additional land to hand over to the investor.
In Quang Binh, there will be two rest stops in the North-South expressway project, located in Quang Chau commune (Quang Trach district) and Dong Son ward (Dong Hoi city).
According to the Quang Binh Department of Transport, the initial plan was that these two stations would cover 9.83 hectares of land. Site clearance and land handover had been carried out previously.
By September 2024, the Ministry of Transport will expand the area of the two stations by an additional 10.17 hectares, so the locality is continuing to clear the land for this additional area.
Of the total 10.7 hectares, at the rest stop in Quang Chau commune, there are 7.05 hectares. The government has issued a notice of land recovery and counting, and is currently making a compensation and support plan.
At the rest stop in Dong Son ward, there are 3.12 hectares, currently completing documents to issue a land recovery notice.
It is expected that in 2024, the procedures for handing over the site to the investor will be completed.
Project Management Board 6 said that it is currently bidding to find an investor for this rest stop. Once the site is handed over and an investor is found, construction will begin. Regarding progress, it is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, and by April 30, 2025, there will be a temporary rest stop for people.
