According to the clip, the BMW driver drove in the wrong lane and recklessly overtook on Dran Pass (Xuan Truong Commune, Da Lat City, Lam Dong), causing an accident for a motorcyclist.
The incident was determined to have occurred at 12:10 p.m. on December 11 and was recorded by a dashcam of a vehicle traveling on Dran Pass.
The BMW driver's lane encroachment and reckless overtaking made the online community very angry and criticized the driver's poor compliance with the Road Traffic Law.
According to the clip, the BMW convertible was traveling through Dran Pass on Highway 20 from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat.
When approaching a curve with a no-overtaking line, the BMW driver drove over to the left side of the road, overtaking the car traveling in the same direction ahead.
At that moment, on the opposite side, a motorbike was traveling in the opposite direction. Then, the BMW hit the motorbike, causing 2 people to fall onto the road and fly to the curb.
The BMW continued to drive forward for about 100m and then stopped.
Fortunately, the two people on the motorbike only suffered minor injuries, and the BMW's left front bumper was damaged. The driver later returned to assist the motorcyclist.
