Currently, in the whole Thai Nguyen province, there are 4,979 households living in temporary and dilapidated houses, concentrated in 37 communes and wards in the Northern region (formerly Bac Kan province). Of which, 4,176 households need to rebuild and 803 households need to repair.
As of July 8, 2025, 4,170 households have started construction and completed, reaching 83.8% (including 2,174 households have completed construction, 1,996 households are under construction), while 601 households are facing difficulties and cannot start construction due to problems with land procedures, customs, obstacles due to terrain, lack of counterpart funds...
Faced with this situation, Thai Nguyen province launched a peak emulation campaign "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, business community and people.
Speaking at the Program, Mr. Dinh Quang Tuyen - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Fatherland Front Committee said that this is an urgent task, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and compassion of the whole society towards the poor and meritorious people, contributing to ensuring social security and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
The Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested cadres, civil servants, and employees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations to continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilize union members, association members, and people to participate in contributing in the spirit of "whose there is, help others". Closely coordinate with local authorities in reviewing, supporting, and supervising to ensure the right subjects, transparency, and efficiency.
On July 16, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Fatherland Front Committee specifically assigned departments and offices in charge of monitoring, inspecting, supervising and supporting 37 communes and wards in the Northern region. The Propaganda and Social Work Department of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has also guided the implementation content, assigning specific tasks to each unit.
