The Ministry of Finance has just issued Official Letter 19035/BTC-NSNN in 2025 responding to the petition of voters of Dak Lak province sent before the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly on the following content: Proposing the Government to continue to pay attention to the policy of giving gifts to people during the Lunar New Year and major holidays of the country.
Responding to voters' recommendations, the Ministry of Finance said that every year, on important national holidays and Tet, the President issues a policy of giving gifts to people with revolutionary contributions, such as the Lunar New Year and War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27.
In 2025, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on April 23, 2025, the President issued Decision 689/QD-CTN in 2025 on giving gifts to people with meritorious services to the revolution, at a rate of VND 500,000/person. On the same occasion of National Day, September 2, the Party and the State also decided to give gifts to all people, at the rate of VND 100,000/person, as a thank you and a sharing of joy on the big holiday.

The Ministry of Finance received the opinions of voters and said it would coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to advise and report to competent authorities when budget resources are guaranteed.
