Ninh Thuan Chairman dialogues with businesses, removes obstacles for a series of projects

After the dialogue, the head of Ninh Thuan province directed the authorities to review and resolve a series of recommendations from businesses.

On October 7, the Office of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee announced the conclusion of Provincial Chairman Tran Quoc Nam at the previous meeting with businesses.

Regarding the proposal related to the environmental impact assessment report for the Ca Na general port project, this is a general seaport with a scale of 17 wharves, with a total investment of 6,500 billion VND. The project is considered a highlight of the southern key economic zone of Ninh Thuan province.

Regarding this, the Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee said that the locality has sent a document to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment requesting guidance for investors to complete the environmental impact assessment for the Ca Na Port Area Project Phase 1 - Ca Na General Seaport.

The head of Ninh Thuan province suggested that investors proactively contact agencies of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for guidance.

In response to the businesses' recommendations on land settlement for gas stations at fishing ports, the Provincial Chairman assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Industry and Trade to notify the situation of land settlement at fishing ports so that gas stations know; proactively resolve the issue of granting Certificates of eligibility for gas stations so that businesses can operate smoothly and without further recommendations.

Also at the business dialogue, Saigon - Ninh Thuan Mineral Joint Stock Company proposed approving the settlement of compensation and site clearance costs to be deducted from the land rent of the mineral exploitation project and supporting the synchronous updating of planning to implement the company's phase 2 project.

Regarding this, the Provincial Chairman assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and guide enterprises to complete the dossier to deduct the land rent of the project; at the same time, preside over and coordinate with local authorities and relevant agencies and units to continue reviewing and advising on updating the planning for phase 2 of the project to ensure consistency and suitability with the project's objectives.

Regarding the proposal on the policy of resuming titanium mining, Chairman of Ninh Thuan Province Tran Quoc Nam said that the locality is currently reviewing the report and submitting it to the Provincial Party Committee for comments.
