In November 2024, Hanoi City Police - a member of the City's Steering Committee 389, continued to perform its role well, directing professional departments, police of districts, towns and cities to grasp the situation of routes, areas and subjects to develop plans and solutions to combat and destroy networks, groups, and locations storing, producing, trading, transporting prohibited goods, smuggled goods, manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods, goods violating food safety, violations in e-commerce activities and violations according to the provisions of law.
During the month, the City Police inspected 123 cases, handled 131 administrative cases (handled 08 outstanding cases), imposed an administrative fine of 1 billion 415 million VND; collected and recovered 15 billion 680 million VND in taxes; the value of the infringing goods was 21 billion 170 million VND. Prosecuted 06 cases, 19 defendants.
Typically, during the month, Hanoi City Police coordinated with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security to dismantle a smuggling ring that consumed thousands of tons of laughing gas.

Accordingly, through the work of grasping the situation, the Economic Police Department (Hanoi City Police) discovered that Nguyen Tuan Linh (born in 1987, residing in Cong Vi, Ba Dinh, Hanoi) and his accomplices had signs of violating the law in the import and trading of N2O gas at DCMC Vietnam Trading Company Limited (DCMC Company, address at Phu Do, Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi).
The Economic Police Department reported to the City Police Department leaders and coordinated with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security and the City Police Department to synchronously carry out professional measures to combat and neutralize.

On November 7, 2024, Hanoi City Police coordinated with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security to simultaneously summon 26 subjects and urgently search 08 locations, seizing many documents and exhibits, including: 129.3 tons of N2O gas raw materials; 14 systems of machinery and equipment for gas extraction; 02 gas pumps; 610kg of N2O gas pellets; 71,668 finished gas bottles; 6,586 gas cylinder shells; 50kg of balloon shells; many mobile phones, personal computers... Temporarily seizing 23.17 billion VND and 9,300 USD related to criminal activities.
Currently, the Hanoi City Police Investigation Agency is continuing to investigate and expand the case to strictly handle it according to the law.
During the peak of the year-end and Tet At Ty 2025, Hanoi City Police continued to coordinate with member units of the City Steering Committee 389 to actively fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods,... achieving many positive results, contributing to stabilizing the city's market, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of manufacturers, businesses and consumers.
