Phu Tho's processing and manufacturing industry has the highest growth rate in the country

Phu Tho is a locality with a high production index of the processing and manufacturing industry compared to the same period in the first quarter of 2025.

The data announced by the Department of Statistics (Ministry of Finance) recently showed that the industrial production index (IIP) in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 7.8% over the same period (in the first quarter of 2024, increased by 5.9%). In particular, the processing, manufacturing industry, an increase of 9.5% (the first quarter of 2024 increased by 6.0%) was the highest growth in the past 5 years.

This growth result is achieved thanks to the strong direction and management of the Government, the Prime Minister and the efforts of all levels, sectors, people and businesses to effectively implement tasks and solutions to promote economic growth.

The names of localities with IIP in the processing and manufacturing industry in the first quarter of 2025 increased compared to the same period last year, Phu Tho led with an increase of 44%; Bac Kan increased by 31.8%, Bac Giang increased by 27.2%; Nam Dinh increased by 23.5%...

According to the Department of Statistics of Phu Tho province, the IIP of the processing and manufacturing industry in the first quarter of 2025 increased compared to the same period in the following industries: Drug, pharmaceutical and medicinal product manufacturing increased by 72.4%; production of electronic products, computers and optical products increased by 70.55%; wood processing and production of wood, bamboo and rattan products (except for beds, cabinets, tables and chairs) increased by 41.57%; other processing and manufacturing industries increased by 31.29%...

The statistics agency explained that in the first quarter of 2025, industrial production in Phu Tho province will remain stable, large-scale enterprises, and key projects will operate effectively as the main factor promoting growth of the entire industry.

According to research, from 2021 to 2024, Phu Tho attracted and supplemented capital for 386 private investment projects (DDIs), registered capital of VND 66,500 billion and 104 foreign direct investment projects (FDI), registered capital of 1.7 billion USD. Of which, the province has issued Investment Registration Certificates for 294 new DDI projects with a registered capital of VND 57,300 billion and 42 new FDI projects with a registered capital of more than 1.1 billion USD.

In the first 3 months of 2025, Phu Tho has attracted 7 new domestic projects with a registered capital of VND 295.5 billion; 5 FDI projects with a registered capital of USD 7.86 million.
