On the morning of November 28, the Vietnam Logistics Forum (VLF) 2025, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Da Nang City with the theme of Vietnam Logistics - Entering a new era, was officially opened.
Speaking at the Forum, Da Nang City Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang emphasized that Da Nang identifies logistics as a key service sector with high spillover, as a foundation for industrial, trade, tourism and investment development.
According to the Secretary of the City Party Committee, the Forum being held in Da Nang at a time when the city is entering a new development stage is even more important, contributing to concretizing the major policies of the Central Government and positioning Da Nang as a center for logistics, high-tech industry, innovation, international finance and trade of the country and the region.
Da Nang City with a natural area of nearly 12,000 km2, a population of more than 3 million people, fully and synchronously converging strategic factors, seaport infrastructure, airports, railways, roads, industrial parks, economic zones, high-tech zones, concentrated information technology zones, agricultural areas and free trade zones.
"With this special position, Da Nang is not only the political, economic and cultural center of the Central - Central Highlands, but also the gateway to the East Sea of the East - West Economic Corridor, connecting Myanmar - Thailand - Laos - Vietnam, opening up new development space for the whole region" - Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee said.
In recent years, the city has focused on planning, investing and completing logistics infrastructure with many large-scale projects such as: Tien Sa Port, Lien Chieu Port, Ky Ha Port, Da Nang International Airport, Chu Lai Airport with a system of highways, railways, industrial parks, clusters and inter-regional logistics centers.
With a long-term vision, Da Nang has implemented the construction of the Free Trade Zone - the first model in Vietnam, expected to be a new growth pole, converging international logistics corporations, border distribution centers, e-commerce, finance, insurance and value-added services.
This is a breakthrough model, aiming at trade liberlization and deep integration, contributing to enhancing Da Nang's position on the logistics map of the Asia-Pacific region.
"From practical development and important geopolitical strategic position, Da Nang city will continue to promote its role as a center for logistics, trade, and innovation in the Central - Central Highlands region.
The city government is committed to taking the lead in infrastructure development, improving management capacity, improving the investment environment and promoting public-private cooperation. At the same time, it creates the most favorable conditions for businesses, being a reliable destination for domestic and international investors", Mr. Quang emphasized.
With high determination, innovative thinking and specific actions, the city will continue to effectively implement the instructions of the Government and the Prime Minister; coordinate with ministries, branches and the business community to realize development aspirations, making Da Nang a new logistics city at regional level, contributing significantly to the goal of building Vietnam into a developed country with an independent, self-reliant economy, deep integration and sustainability.
