On the afternoon of November 12, continuing the 10th Session, the National Assembly discussed the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Price Law.
Giving his opinion at the meeting, National Assembly delegate (NA) Tran Khanh Thu (Hung Yen delegation) said that in the past, there have been many reflections related to the price of transporting patients for emergency care.

This delegate proposed to consider adding regulations on the regulation on the price of emergency transportation services. Because there is currently no regulation guiding the valuation and price management for this service.
This is a special service but is not currently included in the list of medical examination and treatment services; nor is it a regular transportation service; so I recommend that there should be unified guiding regulations - delegate Tran Khanh Thu emphasized.
Speaking at the discussion session, delegate Pham Van Hoa (Dong Thap National Assembly delegation) raised the draft law assigning the People's Committees at the commune level to implement price stabilization.
However, this delegate wondered how the commune level would stabilize prices when the specialized staff at this level were "very weak and lacking".
Therefore, delegate Pham Van Hoa proposed to have specific regulations, clearly stating the responsibilities and powers of the People's Committees at the commune level in implementing price stabilization, coordinating with provincial-level sectors to carry out this task.

Referring to the appendix to the list of price-stabilized goods, delegate Pham Van Hoa said that it is necessary to consider adding price-stabilized goods.
"For example, can gold be included in the price stabilization list? ", delegate Hoa said and said that gold is not an essential item, but people consider gold very important.
This delegate added that in recent times, gold prices have fluctuated, also affecting the prices of consumer goods of the State.
"Stabilizing gold prices is difficult, because domestic gold prices are affected by world gold prices. But the world gold price and the domestic gold price are quite different" - the delegate from Dong Thap said and suggested that this issue should be considered clearly and specifically.

Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang explained and acknowledged and accepted the opinions of National Assembly deputies.
Regarding the opinion on reviewing and perfecting the list of goods and services to stabilize prices, according to Minister Nguyen Van Thang, in the process of developing the 2023 Price Law to submit to the National Assembly at the 5th session, the Ministry of Finance coordinated very closely with the National Assembly's agencies to review, evaluate, and adjust out of the list of items that were no longer suitable. At the same time, it also added a number of essential items to the price stabilization list.
"However, in the process of summarizing the 2023 Price Law, it can be seen that there is currently no change in the portfolio. Therefore, we propose not to adjust the list of goods to stabilize prices" - Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang said.
