On the morning of May 10, information from the People's Committee of Bac Giang province said that Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province Nguyen Viet Oanh had just chaired a working session with AeonMall Vietnam Limited Liability Company.
It is known that AeonMall Vietnam's project in Bac Giang city uses nearly 77,000 m2 of land, the goal is to invest in building a commercial center (TTTM) combined with office business and tourism activities.
The investment scale includes: Synchronous construction of works of the Trade Center project combined with office business and tourism activities. Of which, the height is built from 4 to 8 floors. Maximum construction density is 60%. The total minimum investment of the project is more than 3.9 trillion VND. The project's operation period is 50 years.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province Nguyen Viet Oanh said that in the coming time, the two provinces of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh will be merged, the new province will have the 5th largest economic scale in the country.
The two provinces have 33 industrial parks and the administrative center is expected to be located in the current Bac Giang.
Thus, the investment location of AeonMall Vietnam will be located in the center. With the large economic scale and large population in the industrial park, it opens up opportunities and development potential for high-quality commercial and service centers.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Oanh affirmed that Bac Giang province will direct departments and branches to accompany businesses in removing difficulties and obstacles, supporting investors in procedures, and speeding up project progress. At the same time, he hoped that AeonMall Vietnam Limited Liability Company would focus on implementing the project in Bac Giang, putting the project into operation soon.
The investor representative hopes that Bac Giang province will create conditions to support power supply for construction as well as project activities; documents on appraisal of project design and construction. The investor is committed to shortening the project implementation time to the maximum.
Bac Giang's trade and service sectors are still assessed to have not developed commensurate with their potential. The quantity and quality of services have not met the needs of domestic and foreign experts and investors. Currently, the locality has a number of commercial centers, but the scale is still small.
Aeon currently has 7 shopping malls in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Hue and Binh Duong, with a total rental floor area of about 462,000 m2.
