Ensuring electricity supply for high growth targets
Mr. Doan Ngoc Duong - Deputy Director of the Electricity Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) - said that to ensure electricity supply this year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade focuses on six groups of solutions.
Firstly, power plants, transmission and distribution units will have to ensure plans related to maintenance and repair so that power generation units and electrical equipment in the system are at the highest level ready to meet electricity demand during the year.
Second, in terms of fuel supply for power generation, power plants and key fuel suppliers for power generation such as coal, oil, gas, etc. must plan and ensure at least the amount of storage and storage in the plant as well as in the warehouse to supply electricity during peak periods.
Third, strongly promote and urge the completion of the progress of a number of important power projects planned to operate this year. At the same time, a number of important power grid projects also aim to accelerate to put it into operation.
Fourth, it is required that companies regulating and operating power systems and the national electricity market must prepare scenarios, develop and update situations and situations related to changes.
Fifth, increase electricity savings. Saving electricity also corresponds to reducing demand, especially during peak times.
Finally, regularly inspect and supervise the authorities to ensure that all units, agencies and organizations participating in stages from power generation, system regulation, to transmission and distribution must be at their highest level, ready to adapt and respond to all possible situations.
"With the solutions and up to now, the Ministry of Industry and Trade believes that the power supply to the country in 2025 will be guaranteed with the conditions and scenarios as forecast until now. However, extreme cases may still occur, such as sudden load growth or extreme weather... In those cases, we have been continuing to develop response plans." - Mr. Doan Ngoc Duong affirmed.
Enterprises accompany the Government and the electricity industry
On the business side, Mr. Nguyen Van Dat - Deputy Director of Thai Nguyen dien Zinc Plant said: "In the context of the high demand for electricity in electricity supply and economic development, we have determined to accompany the Government and the electricity industry to use energy sources economically and effectively. We have invited units with high capacity and qualifications to audit electricity, thereby evaluating and proposing energy saving plans for the unit.
We also upgrade and renovate production lines, improve productivity and efficiency of equipment, apply technology and science and technology, and change equipment with better energy saving capabilities" - Mr. Nguyen Van Dat said.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dat said that businesses are having a plan and plan to partially switch to using green energy and solar energy, thereby reducing pressure on the electricity industry and increasing the autonomy of businesses in electricity use.
