Vietnam's technology industry revenue reaches 150 billion USD

Quang Ninh - Within the framework of Vietnam International Digital Week in Ha Long, on November 20, the International Digital Investment Forum in Vietnam 2024 took place.

Attending the forum were leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications, experts, and representatives of domestic and foreign enterprises.

The forum includes 3 sessions: Policies to promote digital investment in Vietnam in the digital age; Potential and opportunities for digital investment in Vietnam; Connecting to build a digital investment ecosystem.

Currently, the annual revenue of the digital technology industry is about 150 billion USD, with 67,500 enterprises, of which 1,500 digital technology enterprises operate in the international market. In addition, Vietnam's human resources are of high quality, ranked in the top 10 in the world in terms of programming capacity and the country that trains the most engineers. Vietnam is a country with many preferential policies for the digital technology industry. Currently, Vietnam is focusing on completing the draft Law on Digital Technology Industry.

Businesses and experts shared about the potential and opportunities for digital investment in Vietnam, focusing on connecting financial services and technology, experience for investment in the digital technology sector and recommendations for Vietnam.

Speakers and experts also exchanged and discussed solutions to connect and build a digital investment ecosystem.

Also on November 20, a workshop on policy and regulatory recommendations to promote service reliability in ASEAN and an ASEAN information officials conference took place... These are activities within the series of activities of the Vietnam International Digital Week organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province in Ha Long city from November 19 to 22.
