Ha Tinh - Due to heavy damage caused by the storm, Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Company is making efforts to repair the damage and is expected to resume operations from August 2026.

On November 29, Mr. Hoang Trong Binh - Deputy General Director of Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Company Limited - said that storm No. 10 made landfall on the night of September 28, 2025, collapsing many coal warehouses of Vung Ang 2 Thermal Power Plant in Vung Ang Economic Zone, causing very heavy damage.

Due to the coal warehouse being destroyed by the storm, the No. 1 Plant, which was just inaugurated and put into operation from September 18, 2025, had to stop operating.

"We are currently focusing on fixing it. However, it will take a lot of time because it depends on the import of raw materials and equipment," said Mr. Binh.

According to Mr. Binh, the Company expects to complete the repair by August 2026; at that time the factory can resume operations.

If more favorable, the Company wants to operate the factory again from March 2026, but this is uncertain because it depends on many factors.
