On December 7, information from the Power Project Management Board, Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation (PV Power) said: Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant - part of Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant Projects (Dai Phuoc Commune, Dong Nai Province) is expected to generate commercial electricity before December 20.
Accordingly, all items related to Nhon Trach 4 Power Plant have been completed according to the design. The factory has completed a 72-hour reliable run test with required operating parameters and is eligible for commercial operation.

Previously, Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant generated commercial electricity on November 20, 2025.
Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 Power Plants are the first projects in Vietnam designed to use liquefied natural gas (LNG) according to the VIII Power Plan, a group of important national projects.
The project has a total capacity of more than 1,600 MW, with a total investment of 1.4 billion USD.
The completion of the project is on schedule, putting the project into operation soon, contributing budget revenue to Dong Nai province, promoting the development of the industrial - service sector around Phuoc An seaport and industrial parks, ensuring energy security for the province and the Southeast region, contributing to energy transition and developing a green economy.
