On May 14, present at the Cattle and Planting Project of Binh Ha Livestock Joint Stock Company in Cam Xuyen District, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper recorded dozens of cages and cattle farms here left empty, without raising any cows.
Currently, the corrugated iron roof system of some barns has rusted, become holes, and has been blown to the ground by the storm.

Currently, the main crop in this project is pineapple. Through observation, pineapple trees grew quite evenly and green well.
A security guard at this project said that he has worked here for more than 10 years with the task of protecting the abandoned barn and some machines for plowing and digging.
According to this person, all barns and livestock farms in the project (including in Ky Anh district) are not raising livestock but are abandoned. The company is collaborating with a business to simultaneously deploy pineapple cultivation.

Mr. Vo Phi Long - General Director of Binh Ha Livestock Joint Stock Company - said that currently, the Company in collaboration with Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company (Ninh Binh province) has planted about 160 hectares of pineapple. Of which, Cam Xuyen district has planted about 75 hectares.
"The pineapple tree grows well, initially showing that it is suitable for the soil and soil here. Currently, some early planting areas have begun to bear fruit. Hopefully pineapple will be an effective crop in this project, Mr. Long shared.
According to Mr. Long, the project is currently abandoned and no livestock have been raised. According to the plan, in the third quarter of 2025, the unit will raise about 5,000 cows in Ky Anh district.
With a barn system in Cam Xuyen district, there is a surveyed enterprise that wants to invest in pig farming. The unit will propose to link pig farming to avoid landfill waste and promote the effectiveness of the project.
A leader of Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company shared that after cooperating with Binh Ha Livestock Joint Stock Company to implement pineapple cultivation in the Cattle and Raw Plant Protection Project in Ha Tinh, it has initially shown that pineapple trees are growing well and have good prospects for efficiency.

According to this leader, the company will cooperate to grow pineapples on the entire project area. Pineapple cultivation is still being carried out, gradually covering the area that has been abandoned for a long time.
The project of raising cows and growing raw materials of Binh Ha Livestock Joint Stock Company was approved by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province in April 2015. The project has a total investment of VND 4,582 billion on a land area of 2,163 hectares in Ky Anh and Cam Xuyen districts, with a scale of 254,200 cows/year.
However, the operation of this project has caused many scandals and losses, the company's leaders were arrested and prosecuted. In May 2021, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province approved the policy of adjusting the scale and restructuring the project.
The scale of the project to reduce farming to 35,000 cows/year, adding the scale of growing pineapples, bananas, corn, fruit trees, grass, medicinal herbs... is expected to be 934 hectares; the land area is reduced to 1,227 hectares; the total investment capital is reduced to VND1,800 billion.
