Accordingly, the number of registered workers is nearly 80.5 thousand, an increase of 26.5% in the number of enterprises, an increase of 65.4% in registered capital and an increase of 27.8% in the number of workers compared to September 2024.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of enterprises decreased by 9.8%, registered capital increased by 9.5% and the number of employees decreased by 39.2%. The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in the month reached 10.8 billion VND, up 30.8% compared to the previous month and up 21.4% compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the whole country also has nearly 8,700 enterprises returning to operation, an increase of 33.5% over the previous month and an increase of 53.7% over the same period in 2023.
In the first 10 months of 2024, the whole country had nearly 136.1 thousand newly registered enterprises with a total registered capital of nearly 1,312.1 trillion VND and a total registered number of nearly 815.6 thousand employees, an increase of 1.9% in the number of enterprises, an increase of 4.1% in registered capital and a decrease of 8.7% in the number of employees compared to the same period last year.
The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in the ten months of 2024 reached VND 9.6 billion, up 2.2% over the same period in 2023. The total registered capital added to the economy in the ten months of 2024 was nearly VND 2,613.1 trillion, down 4.7% over the same period in 2023.
In addition, the whole country has more than 66.2 thousand enterprises returning to operation (up 27.7% over the same period in 2023), bringing the total number of newly established and returning enterprises in the first 10 months of 2024 to more than 202.3 thousand enterprises, up 9.1% over the same period in 2023. On average, there are more than 20.2 thousand newly established and returning enterprises per month.
By economic sector, in the first ten months of 2024, there were 1,373 newly established enterprises in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector, down 5.2% over the same period last year; nearly 31,600 enterprises in the industry and construction sector, down 0.5%; more than 103,100 enterprises in the service sector, up 2.7%.
In October, 5,454 enterprises registered to temporarily suspend business for a period of time, up 28.8% compared to the previous month and down 0.9% compared to the same period in 2023; 5,424 enterprises stopped operating pending dissolution procedures, down 26.8% and up 10.7%; 1,987 enterprises completed dissolution procedures, up 23.8% and up 34.3%.
In the first ten months of 2024, the number of enterprises temporarily suspending business was more than 92,100, an increase of 13.6% over the same period last year; more than 63,700 enterprises suspended operations pending dissolution procedures, an increase of 25.6%; nearly 17,400 enterprises completed dissolution procedures, an increase of 20.5%. On average, 17,300 enterprises withdrew from the market per month.
