At Bao Tin Minh Chau store in Cau Giay, Hanoi, when it opened on the afternoon of October 3, it was packed with people buying gold. However, the number of people who were able to buy gold rings was very small.
A representative of Bao Tin Minh Chau store said that this afternoon, they will only sell 2 taels of gold rings to 20 customers. However, these customers have been lining up to get coupons since morning. The store currently has gold jewelry for sale, so buyers do not have to wait.
At 3pm, the number of customers coming to buy gold here was still large, but most of them left empty-handed. When asked how much gold would be sold tomorrow, the store employee said: The amount of gold that will be sold tomorrow has not been determined.
Ms. Le Thi Doai, on Xuan Thuy Street, Cau Giay District (Hanoi), just parked her car at Bao Tin Minh Chau store when the staff said: If you buy gold rings, they are out of stock, but there is still gold jewelry left.
It is known that every time she saves some money, Mrs. Doai spends it on buying gold. This time, she wanted to buy 5 taels of plain gold rings but went to several stores but none of them had any. She had just come from the SJC gold store but they were all out of stock. Recently, buying plain gold rings has been very difficult even though the price has been increasing day by day.
Not only Mrs. Doai, many people expressed regret and lamented that for many weeks now they have not been able to "hunt" for gold rings, nor can they buy gold bars.
