Gold prices hit record high, should people sell to take profit?

Domestic gold prices are continuously increasing and are expected to continue to increase in the coming time.

In recent days, domestic gold prices have been continuously hot as gold rings and gold bars have both increased to record levels. At this time, many people are also wondering whether they should sell gold to make a profit.

"I bought gold rings in July and have made a profit of about 5 million VND so far. At this time, the price of gold is increasing continuously, so I am waiting a bit more before selling to make a profit" - Mr. Phan Thanh Vinh (living in Thu Duc City) shared.

According to experts, gold prices will continue to fluctuate in the coming time. Investors need to be very careful when deciding to buy gold or sell for profit.

Talking to Lao Dong, expert Tran Duy Phuong - Director of the Golden Fund Gold and Gemstone Company - said that in the past 2 weeks, world gold has increased sharply with high prices, since the beginning of the year it has increased by about 30%, equivalent to 600 USD. Therefore, there is a possibility of profit-taking in world gold because world gold is always fluctuating.

The upward trend is still there, but in the short term, it may be adjusted down to 2,000 - 2,500 USD/ounce to have more growth. If people buy gold during this time, they will buy at the peak, there will not be a high profit margin, and there will be many risks.

"It is predicted that in October, the gold price will tend to decrease again, so now is the time to buy. Because the gold price will increase higher than the current time by the end of the year, investors will make higher profits. For those who have bought gold before and have made a profit, they should consider closing and wait until the gold price decreases to buy again" - expert Tran Duy Phuong said.

This afternoon (September 24), in Ho Chi Minh City, DOJI gold bars are buying at 81.50 million VND/tael and selling at 83.50 million VND/tael. PNJ is buying at 80.50 million VND/tael and selling at 81.50 million VND/tael.

The price of gold rings continues to set new peaks, DOJI listed the price of gold rings at 80.10 - 81.20 million VND/tael (buy - sell), while SJC listed it at 79.80 - 81.10 million VND/tael.
