World oil prices today
World oil prices increased simultaneously on November 19 (Vietnam time). At 11:45, WTI crude oil was at 69.33 USD/barrel, up 0.16 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.23%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 69.17 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 69.02 USD/barrel.
Brent crude oil was at 73.47 USD/barrel, up 0.17 USD/barrel, or 0.23 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at 73.30 USD/barrel and opened today at 73.20 USD/barrel.
Thus, at the end of yesterday's trading session (September 18), world oil prices increased by more than 3%. At the end of the first trading session of the week, Brent oil prices increased by 3.2% to 73.30 USD/barrel and US WTI oil prices increased by 3.2% to 69.16 USD.
The upward momentum continued in this morning's trading session. According to analysts, world oil prices jumped sharply after news emerged that crude oil production at Norway's Johan Sverdrup oil field had been halted, further supporting the previous increase stemming from the escalation of the Russia-Ukraine war.
The North Sea crude oil market could tighten, Reuters reported. Physical crude from the North Sea is the source of Brent futures. Kazakhstan’s largest oil field, Tengiz, operated by U.S.-based Chevron, has cut oil output by 28-30% due to ongoing repairs, further tightening global supplies. The country’s energy ministry said the repairs are expected to be completed by Saturday.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On November 19, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities currently applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of November 14. Accordingly, all gasoline and oil products decreased simultaneously. The price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 292 VND/liter, RON 95-III gasoline decreased by 247 VND/liter, diesel oil decreased by 344 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 306 VND/liter, and fuel oil decreased by 385 VND/kg.

Tu Luc Petroleum discounts on November 19 as follows: Diesel discount (0.005S-V): 1,400 VND/liter; Diesel discount (0.001S-V): 1,350; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,200 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on November 19: RON 95 - III discount: 1,100 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,000 VND/liter; oil: 1,450 VND/liter. Applicable to the Northern region.
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices next period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, petroleum prices may decrease. The decrease is about 200-250 VND/liter.
Since the beginning of the year, since the price adjustment session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 21 times and decreased 24 times. Oil prices have increased 20 times and decreased 25 times.
