World oil price today
World oil prices are on a sharp decline. At the end of yesterday's trading session (December 8), WTI oil and Brent oil decreased by 2.01% and 1.95%, respectively.
By this morning's session, both oil products continued to decline. At 09:32 (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil price was at 58.77, USD/barrel, down 0.11 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.19%. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 58.88 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 58.88 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 62.41 USD/barrel, down 0.09 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.14%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 62.50 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 62.51 USD/barrel.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On December 9, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 are as follows:
The above domestic retail price of gasoline and oil was adjusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance from 3:00 p.m. on December 4.
Accordingly, gasoline prices increased by 400-500 VND/liter; oil prices decreased by 52-580 VND/liter. Specifically, E5RON92 gasoline price increased by 534 VND/liter, RON95-III gasoline increased by 451 VND/liter, diesel decreased by 420 VND/liter, kerosene decreased by 580 VND/liter and mazut decreased by 52 VND/kg.

The discount levels of gasoline products today, December 9, at some domestic gasoline trading enterprises are as follows:

+ Petec warehouse, Dinh Vu: Diesel 0.05S - II: 950 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,050 VND/liter.
+ Hai Linh warehouse, Hai Phong: Diesel 0.05S - II: 1,000 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter.
+ Bac Ninh warehouse: Diesel 0.05S - II: 850 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 950 VND/liter.
- Tu Luc Petroleum Joint Stock Company 1:
+ Diesel 0.05S - II: 950 VND/liter;
+ Diesel 0.001S-V: 650 VND/liter;
+ RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter;
+ E5 gasoline: VND1,150/liter.
- MIPEC Petro Petroleum Trading Company Limited (applicable to the Northern region):
+ RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices in the coming period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may decrease.
Of which, RON 95 - III gasoline price is forecast to decrease by about 290 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline decreases by about 80 VND/liter; Diesel oil decreases by about 50 VND/liter.
