During a surprise inspection of two businesses in Hoan Kiem and Ba Dinh wards, the authorities discovered and temporarily detained more than 1,400 products with signs of counterfeiting famous brands such as: The North Face, Adidas and Crocs.
Market Management Team No. 2, Hanoi Market Management Department in coordination with Hoan Kiem Ward Police has just inspected a business household "Made in Vietnam" at No. 9 Bat Dan Street, Hoan Kiem Ward. Here, Market Management Team No. 2 discovered 350 coats with The North Face brand with signs of counterfeiting, with a total value of goods according to listed prices of about 63 million VND.
All goods have been recorded, sealed and temporarily detained for appraisal according to regulations.
Continuing to inspect a shoe business establishment at No. 3, Lane 3 Phuc Tan, Hong Ha Ward, the authorities discovered that this establishment did not have a business registration and was selling 1,050 pairs of sandals with Adidas and Crocs brands with signs of violating intellectual property rights.
The estimated value of the shipment is more than 65.5 million VND. Market Management Team No. 2 has drawn up a record, temporarily detained all goods for further verification and handling according to legal regulations.
The authorities are coordinating with representatives of brand owners in Vietnam to assess and clarify the origin of the cases to strictly handle violations, contributing to protecting consumer rights and a healthy business environment.
