With the fear of queuing and jostling when going to the supermarket to shop for Tet at the end of the year, many Hai Duong residents have taken the opportunity to go shopping for Tet right now.
At GO! Supermarket (Hai Duong City), Tet products are displayed in the central locations of the supermarket, mostly items such as candy, wine, beer, soft drinks, cooking oil... At the supermarket, food and food items are discounted from 20-30% or buy 1 get 2 free.
Not only supermarkets, many grocery stores in Hai Duong province have also prepared Tet goods to serve consumers. Ms. Tran Thi Nga, a grocery store owner in Gia Loc district (Hai Duong province), said: "According to custom, people start shopping about 3-4 weeks before Tet. Therefore, we have imported goods in advance to have enough quantity to supply people. Regarding prices, compared to previous years, the items have not increased, so people can rest assured to shop."
Going to the supermarket early to shop for Tet, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh (Nhi Chau ward, Hai Duong city) commented that this year, the goods are displayed abundantly, the prices are reasonable and there are many attractive promotions. Mr. Hoang Anh shared: "My wife and I bought more than 3 million VND worth of candy to give to relatives on both sides of the family. According to preliminary calculations, we can give these gifts to about 15 families for Tet. With such a price, I think it is within my budget."
Prepare goods with a total value of 1,450 billion VND
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Hai Duong province, in order to ensure sufficient supply of goods, contribute to balancing supply and demand and stabilizing the market before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025, large enterprises and distributors in the province have prepared goods with a total value of 1,450 billion VND.
The items serving people's traditional consumption needs during Tet are mainly food, foodstuff, candy, wine, beer, soft drinks, cooking oil, clothing, shoes, fuel...
The total value of Tet goods in 2025 at supermarkets, businesses, and distributors in Hai Duong increased by 150 billion VND compared to last year's Tet.
BRG Mart Hai Duong prepares 28.5 billion VND in goods; 2 Lan Chi Mart supermarkets in Chi Linh city and Kinh Mon town prepare 29 billion VND; GO! Hai Duong supermarket 66 billion VND; 70 Winmart+ stores system 65 billion VND; nearly 3,000 grocery stores and convenience stores in the province prepare about 900 billion VND in goods; petroleum businesses prepare more than 350 billion VND.
The preparation of diverse and abundant sources of goods by businesses and distributors in the province will meet shopping needs and provide more choices for Hai Duong people during the Lunar New Year.
