This situation occurred after the authorities of Thanh Hoa province launched a campaign to strengthen inspection and handling of smuggling, trade fraud, production and trading of counterfeit goods, and violations of intellectual property rights.

On June 5, although it is the high time of the day for trading and business, many central streets of Thanh Hoa City have become " desolate" when a series of stores are closed or only open.

On streets such as Le Hoan, Cao Thang, Le Huu Lap and the Vuon Hoa market area, a series of shops, fashion and cosmetics stores were closed. People said that because the authorities have just conducted inspections and handled a number of business locations with signs of violations, many stores have chosen to temporarily close to " avoid the storm".
