Hundreds of tons of goods support Yen Bai and Lao Cai to stabilize after the storm

The program "Bringing livelihoods to people in flood-hit areas of Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces" was implemented to help people restore agricultural production and stabilize their lives.

With the goal of helping people in Lao Cai and Yen Bai stabilize their lives after storms and floods, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development cooperated with the Vietnam Chemical Group and Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company to implement the program "Bringing livelihoods to people in storm and flood-affected areas of Yen Bai and Lao Cai provinces" in 2024.

At the launching ceremony held today (October 4), Mr. Ngo Van Dong - Party Secretary, General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company - shared: "Natural disasters have left behind property losses, caused mental losses, and disrupted the lives of many people.

The program not only provides essential agricultural supplies such as corn seeds and fertilizers, but also organizes training sessions on cultivation techniques and plant care.

According to Mr. Dong, in addition to material support, improving knowledge of plant care will help people increase productivity. At the same time, it will overcome the consequences caused by increasingly harsh weather.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huy Thong - Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union - highly appreciated the humanitarian significance of this program. "In the coming time, I hope Binh Dien Joint Stock Company will continue to have social security activities. Thereby contributing to reducing difficulties for poor farmers and people across the country, stabilizing production" - Mr. Thong added.

It is known that the program will provide more than 5.2 tons of corn seeds and 390 tons of Dau Trau NPK fertilizer, with a total value of up to 3 billion VND. In addition to donating agricultural supplies, the program also organizes training sessions on cultivation techniques and plant care.

Accordingly, the program will directly donate to more than 1,650 households in Tran Yen district (Yen Bai province) and Bao Yen district (Lao Cai province). The specific donation schedule is as follows: October 5-6, 2024: Donated to people in Dao Thinh commune and Bao Dap commune, Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province. From October 7, 2024: Donated to people in Xuan Hoa and Xuan Thuong communes, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province.
