Increasing motivation from comprehensive digitalization
In 2024, HDBank achieved VND16,731 billion in pre-tax profit, up 28.5% compared to 2023. ROA reached 2.0%, ROE reached 25.7%, continuing to be in the leading banking group in the whole industry. The consolidated bad debt ratio (according to Circular 11) is controlled at 1.48%. The Basel II Capital Safety ratio (CAR) reached 14.0%, at the top of the market.
As of December 31, 2024, HDBank's total assets reached VND697,281 billion, up 15.8% over 2023. Capital mobilization reached VND621 trillion, up 15.7%, of which deposits from economic and residential organizations increased by 18%. Total outstanding loans reached VND437 trillion, up 23.9%.
HD SAISON continues to lead in profit with VND1,200 billion, up sharply by 83.9% in 2024. With a positive market outlook, HD SAISON aims to achieve a profit of VND1,500 billion in 2025.
Informing investors, HDBank's Board of Directors said that in 2025, the Bank sets a growth target of 25%, aiming for the banking group to achieve over 20,000 billion VND in profits. ROE and ROA efficiency indicators maintain their top position in the market.
The driving force for the goal of extending the 12-year high growth streak of continuous growth comes from the lending strategy towards type 2 urban areas and rural agriculture, with SME businesses, households and potential value chains participating in infrastructure projects and national strategies, along with the Government's determination to promote GDP growth of over 8%.
In 2025, HDBank will continue to promote digitalization, expand transaction scale and attract new customers. Technology is identified as a core driving force to improve customer experience, optimize operations and open up sustainable growth opportunities.
In 2024, HDBank's digital channel transactions increased by nearly 75%, the number of new customers increased by 187%. Currently, more than 97% of HDBank's personal transactions have been conducted on digital platforms. The bank will continue to apply AI and Big Data in risk management, improve credit quality and control bad debt ratio in the lowest group in the market.
