Connecting the business community
On the afternoon of October 9, in Da Nang, the forum "Business Connection - 2024" organized by Lao Dong Newspaper in coordination with the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks, and the Da Nang City Labor Federation took place with the participation of more than 350 guests who are businessmen, investors and leaders of the Da Nang city government.
The forum was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper; Mr. Vu Quang Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of Da Nang, Head of Management of the High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks of Da Nang; Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Ha - Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation.
The "Business Connection" Forum is the final event in the "Business Connection - 2024" event series jointly organized by Lao Dong Newspaper, the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks, and the Da Nang City Labor Federation on the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day, October 13.
The series of events is organized to connect the business community inside and outside the functional areas in the city; connect the values, connect the strengths of each business to develop together more strongly.
At the forum "Business Connection - 2024", Mr. Tran Van Ty - Deputy Head of Management of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones - introduced to businesses and investors the functions and tasks of the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones. Especially the Free Trade Zone established under Resolution 136 of the National Assembly.
Lao Dong Newspaper always accompanies businesses
Mr. Ty said that the National Assembly has issued Resolution 136 on the organization of urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang City.
Accordingly, the National Assembly agreed to allow Da Nang to pilot a number of specific mechanisms and policies on financial management, state budget; investment management; planning, urban, natural resources and environment management; priority industries and occupations to attract strategic investors to the city.
Da Nang also piloted a number of specific mechanisms and policies on investment in developing semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence, science and technology management and innovation.
The most notable of these is the National Assembly's agreement to establish the Da Nang Free Trade Zone associated with Lien Chieu seaport, with the goal of attracting investment, finance, trade, tourism and high-quality services.
"Through this forum "Business Connection - 2024", the Management Board hopes to receive the attention and support of businesses in the coming time to successfully carry out political tasks together, developing the socio-economic development of Da Nang city. At the same time, the Management Board hopes to receive more support to continue organizing the annual event in the following years", said Mr. Tran Van Ty.
At the forum "Business Connection - 2024", Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper - sent congratulations to entrepreneurs on the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day, October 13. "I hope the business community in Da Nang will develop even stronger. Because when businesses are doing well, workers will have jobs, have more income, and receive better care in terms of welfare," said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien.
At the forum, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien mentioned a very important connection, which is the close relationship between revolutionary press and the business community and local leaders. This is a mutually cooperative relationship. Revolutionary press not only helps businesses and localities promote their products and build their brands, but also plays an important role in providing information, protecting reputation and guiding public opinion.
Not only that, in times of crisis, revolutionary journalism plays an important role in helping businesses and localities handle media crises, respond to accurate information, and protect brands from misinformation.

At the forum, business owners discussed and exchanged on many practical topics related to the city's economic development as well as with local workers such as: Sharing experiences and needs for connecting service supply; experience in attracting investment, supplying factory needs.
