On the morning of June 9, VietAgros 2026 officially opened in Can Tho City with the theme "Green Agriculture". This event lasts until the end of June 11.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ha Vu Son, Director of Can Tho Department of Industry and Trade, expressed that VietAgros 2026 is organized in the context that Vietnam's agricultural sector is promoting the transformation of the growth model towards green, modern and sustainable.
The fair is not only a place to display products and technologies but also a space to connect managers, scientists, businesses and producers to promote innovation, technology transfer and improve competitiveness for the industry.

Through VietAgros 2026, we want to create a connecting forum to jointly find solutions to develop the seafood industry in a sustainable direction, improving added value and competitiveness in the international market," Mr. Son informed.
The Director of Can Tho Department of Industry and Trade added that the city is focusing on implementing many strategic development orientations such as building large-scale industrial centers, developing airport urban areas, logistics systems and seaports, and modern service urban areas to create new growth momentum for the locality in the coming period.
On that basis, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to accompany businesses, strongly shifting from management thinking to constructive and service thinking, creating the most favorable conditions for investment, production, trade and export activities in the city.

Ms. Quach Thi Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of Can Tho Department of Agriculture and Environment - said that in the context of increasingly complex climate change and export markets continuously improving standards, the agricultural sector needs to promote green production, associated with digital transformation and application of science and technology to improve productivity, quality and competitiveness of products.
In Can Tho, seafood and vegetables are two fields with great development potential and contribution to local growth. Meanwhile, industries such as animal husbandry and rice are also continuing to be concerned and supported to improve production efficiency.

The discussions at the conference focused on digital transformation, application of smart technology in aquaculture, nutritional solutions and protection of livestock and crop health.
These are not only solutions to help improve productivity and product quality but also contribute to building a green, sustainable and more humane agriculture in the future" - Ms. Binh said.
VietAgros 2026 gathers more than 200 booths from businesses operating in the fields of high-tech agriculture, farming, production, seeds, feed, nutrition, veterinary medicine, processing, environmental technology, machinery and equipment, services, automation and digital transformation.
