In recent years, Lac Duong district has gradually affirmed its position as a high-quality agricultural center of Lam Dong in particular and the country in general.
Lac Duong district determined that the development of OCOP products not only becomes a driving force to promote local socio-economy but also contributes to improving people's lives.
With the consensus of the government and people, Lac Duong district currently has 60 OCOP products. Of these, 16 products meet 4-star standards and 44 products meet 3-star standards. By the end of 2024, the district aims to add 15 more products to achieve OCOP certification.
Unique OCOP products in Lac Duong have brought distinct flavors such as raspberry wine, raspberry jam, raspberry tea, Langbiang shiitake mushrooms, instant shiitake mushrooms... All are grown on the highland, bringing the typical local flavor.
Thanks to the application of modern technology and diversification of distribution channels, Lac Duong's OCOP products have continuously increased their value, expanding their market access not only domestically but also internationally.
To enhance competitiveness, Lac Duong district has established an "OCOP Product Club" with 16 members, creating a space for connection, sharing experiences and supporting product development.
Along with that, Lac Duong district is also continuing to invest in typical raw material areas, developing organic products and ecological agriculture according to the value chain.
This is to meet the increasingly demanding consumer demands of the modern market and improve production efficiency.
Create competitiveness in the market
Lac Duong district is also actively supporting OCOP entities by investing in equipment, machinery and applying science and technology to the production, preliminary processing, processing and preservation of products.
Mr. Hoang Xuan Hai, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Lac Duong district, said: "Recently, the district has implemented capital support for businesses to invest in equipment to improve quality and upgrade products."
Authorities also support businesses in improving product packaging designs, creating competitiveness in the market while still ensuring environmental friendliness.
For products that do not meet OCOP standards, the district's professional department will provide advice and complete certification documents.
Lac Duong district also coordinates with relevant agencies to support entities to achieve ISO, HACCP, VietGAP standards and organic certification.
In particular, OCOP product display points will be built in the area, creating more opportunities to promote and sell products.
In order to promote product consumption, Lac Duong district focuses on digital transformation, training OCOP entities on online business, supporting bringing products to e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Tiktok...
These activities not only support local economic development but also create the foundation for sustainable agriculture, meeting domestic market requirements and aiming for export.
