Interest Rate for online deposits with a term of 24-36 months at VietinBank is currently at 5%/year, which is the highest deposit interest rate in the Big4 group (referring to the 4 largest banks in the market today, including: BIDV, Vietinbank, Vietcombank and Agribank). For the same term, at BIDV it is 4.9%/year, Agribank 4.8%/year, and Vietcombank is 4.7%/year.
However, for the 3-month term, Agribank listed interest rates at a higher level than the other 3 banks. Currently, this bank listed 2.5%/year for 3-month online deposits, while VietinBank and BIDV still listed 2.3%/year, and Vietcombank only listed 1.9%/year.
Interest Rate Vietcombank is always listed lower than the other 3 banks. Interest Rate at Agribank, VietinBank and BIDV has no difference, except for deposit term of 24-36 months.
In the market, PvcomBank is currently leading in special interest rates when customers deposit money at the counter, with a rate of 9.5% for a term of 12-13 months. However, the condition to receive an interest rate of up to 9.5%/year is that customers must have a minimum deposit balance of VND 2,000 billion.
Next is HDBank with a particularly high interest rate, up to 8.1%/year for a 13-month term and 7.7% for a 12-month term, with a minimum balance of VND500 billion. This bank also applies a 6% interest rate for an 18-month term.
MSB applies interest rates for deposits at the counter up to 8%/year for a 13-month term and 7% for a 12-month term. BVBank and Cake by VPBank also apply an interest rate of 6% for 24-month and 12-month terms; VRB and Dong A Bank apply an interest rate of 6% for 24-month terms; SaigonBank applies an interest rate of 6% for 13, 18 and 24-month terms, and 6.1% for 36-month terms.
