Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) has just adjusted down deposit interest rates for terms from 6-36 months, with a simultaneous decrease of 0.3 percentage points.
According to the latest term deposit interest rate schedule, SeABank maintains the interest rate for 1-2 month terms at 3.95%/year and 3-5 month terms at 4.45%/year.
For terms of 6 months or more, the listed interest rates are as follows: term of 6 months 4.75%/year; 7 months 4.83%/year; 8 months 4.86%/year; 9 months 4.89%/year; 10 months 4.92%/year; 11 months 4.95%/year; 12 months 5.2%/year; 13 months 5.4%/year; and terms from 15-36 months are 5.55%/year.
With the new interest rate schedule, SeABank is listing the lowest deposit interest rate among joint-stock commercial banks surveyed, and is also one of the first banks to reduce deposit interest rates in August. This is also the third consecutive interest rate reduction adjustment of this bank since April 2026.
Meanwhile, Loc Phat Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank (LPBank) adjusted to increase online deposit interest rates for terms from 1-25 months.
The interest rate for 1-2 month terms increased by 0.1 percentage points to 4.7%/year; the 3-5 month term also increased by 0.1 percentage points to the ceiling level of 4.75%/year.
Notably, LPBank has raised online deposit interest rates to exceed the 7%/year mark right from the 6-month term after increasing by 0.3 percentage points for terms from 6-25 months. Accordingly, the interest rate for terms of 6-11 months is 7.1%/year; the 12-month term is 7.3%/year; the 13--18 month term is 7.25%/year; and the 19--25 month term reaches 7.3%/year.
