These are practical suggestions, with high suggestive value for the city in the process of planning policies and strategies for Ho Chi Minh City's economic development in the next phase".
Proposing to realize 31 donations into specific actions, the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City also suggested that the Department of Industry and Trade re-system donations and solutions to quickly advise the city leaders and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to deploy and implement, clearly defining the responsibilities of departments, branches, sectors, and related units, associated with coordination between the parties.

Speaking at the Workshop, Mr. Bui Ta Hoang Vu, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the city is facing a rare opportunity to enter a period of development with the stature of an international supercity, playing a key role in the country's growth, reshaping the strategy for industrial and trade development.
He also said that after 3 months of implementation, the forum has recorded more than 150 research articles, suggestions and thousands of opinions from the people. The organizing committee has compiled 6 major groups of solutions: First, it is necessary to quickly transform the industry from processing to value creation, restructuring the industry, focusing on areas with high added value such as biotechnology, semiconductor microchips, smart manufacturing, renewable energy.
Second, quickly transforming digitally and transforming by industrial greening, ensuring sustainable development. Digital transformation and industrial greening are not just a slogan, but a command from the trend of the times.
Third, creating a commercial base into a traffic platform of industry so that trade is not only wholesale - retail, but needs to become a traffic infrastructure system, ensuring that the city's industrial goods are distributed quickly and effectively. Trade must play the role of the "bloodline" of industry, connecting production with the market.
Fourth, remove the Logistics bottleneck to take off. All donors agreed that Ho Chi Minh City is the gateway to the Southeast region, so the city must become a logistics and trade center of the region.
Fifth, support businesses to improve their competitiveness. Small and medium-sized enterprises are the "backbone" of Ho Chi Minh City's economy but are also vulnerable. Supporting businesses is not only about financial support, but also about connecting networks, building industry clusters, supporting innovation.
Sixth, building high-quality human resources. Most experts also agree that human resources are the deciding factor. In particular, there are experts suggesting strong development of a dual vocational training model. Workers study at school and do internships at enterprises.
