Recently, explaining at the 16th Session of the 10th Provincial People's Council (July 24), Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province said that the province has directed the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to urgently handle the termination of the contract with the construction unit of the Central Technical Block project and the funeral home of the 1,500-bed Hospital project.
Regarding the above issue, the Binh Duong Province Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the Central Technical Block and Funeral Home Project was constructed by the Joint Venture of N.T Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Technical Trading Joint Stock Company. Up to now, the implementation volume has reached 32.2%.
Unfinished work accounts for 67.8%. The remaining volume is mainly equipment installation. The mechanical construction part has been completed 90%, but the progress of importing main equipment such as generators, electrical cabinets, electrical cables, fire fighting equipment... by the construction unit is very slow.
The Project Management Board urged the construction unit to speed up the progress, but the construction unit still implemented very slowly.
Some equipment imported to the project does not ensure sufficient quality records according to design document requirements.
The Board has reported to the Provincial People's Committee and has approved the termination of the contract with the contractor, N.T. Joint Stock Company. Currently, the Board has Notice No. 15/TB-QLDA dated June 20, 2024 on the termination of the contract with the contractor and is implementing the next steps to terminate the contract.

According to the reporter, over the past two years, the people and leaders of Binh Duong province have been very impatient with the progress of the 1,500-bed hospital project (Dinh Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city). This is a large provincial hospital project invested in to relocate the old, degraded Binh Duong General Hospital.
The project was initially estimated to have an investment capital of about 2,300 billion VND. The project allocated capital to start building the foundation in late 2014. However, the project then stopped construction for nearly 3 years. It was not until late 2018 that construction began again and was promised to be completed around June 2020. However, after many delays, many items are still unfinished and the items cannot be connected to each other.
