Market Management Team No. 5 under the Market Management Department of Da Nang City said it had conducted a surprise inspection of H.T.P Company Limited (Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City).
Through inspection, Market Management Team No. 5 discovered that this company had imported 90 sets of Tiger diesel engines of various types, bearing the marks “TIGER POWER” and “HOBI”. The above products showed signs of infringing on trademark rights protected in Vietnam. The total value of the infringing goods was nearly 1.2 billion VND.
After the verification and working process, Market Management Team No. 5 drew up a record of administrative violations, completed the dossier and submitted it to the Market Management Department of Da Nang City to advise the City People's Committee to issue a Decision to impose an administrative fine of VND 500 million on the above company for the act of "importing goods with signs of trademark infringement"; at the same time, forcing the removal and destruction of the infringing elements of the above goods.
