Abundant supply of Tet goods
On January 20, according to information from the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An province, in order to meet the consumption needs of people during the Lunar New Year 2025, businesses in the area have stockpiled an abundant amount of goods.
Distribution units, shopping centers, goods distributors, markets, unit traders, and petroleum distributors in the province have prepared goods for Tet with a total value of about 10,000 billion VND.
In which: Nam Long Trading Joint Stock Company prepares cooking oil for Tet with a total value of about 69 billion VND; Thanh Nghe Tinh Food Joint Stock Company prepares rice of all kinds for Tet with a total value of about 3.2 billion VND; Go! Vinh Supermarket prepares essential goods with a total value of more than 118.4 billion VND; MM Mega Market Center proactively provides essential goods with a total value of about 13 billion VND.... In addition, other supermarket systems, markets and convenience store chains are about 4,000 billion VND.
Unit traders and gasoline distributors plan to reserve about 297,000m3 (about 5,800 billion VND) to serve customers during Tet.
The supply system of goods in the province during Tet is mainly through basic channels: traditional sales channels, including 27 shopping centers; 79 supermarkets, 371 traditional markets, more than 600 convenience stores, more than 3,000 grocery stores in districts, cities and towns; 17 points of introduction and sale of OCOP products.
Along with that are e-commerce platforms, multimedia sales channels (via phone, website, shopping apps...) of the traditional distribution system.
Strengthening price stabilization
In addition to ensuring supply in terms of quantity, quality and business locations, Nghe An Industry and Trade has actively implemented central and provincial documents on price stabilization, market stability, and ensuring a healthy business market during the Lunar New Year.
Specifically, the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An directed production and business enterprises in the area to focus on promoting production and business, proactively researching the market, developing production plans, stockpiling goods, especially essential goods for Tet, expanding the distribution network of goods; Directing units and enterprises to organize markets to bring Vietnamese goods to rural, remote and isolated areas to increase accessibility for people with low and middle incomes, people in rural, mountainous areas and areas affected by natural disasters.
Petroleum businesses in the province must fully stock up, proactively have plans to ensure petroleum supply for the market and commit to ensuring sufficient petroleum supply in the area at the end of 2024 and Lunar New Year 2025, sell goods at the listed price, open stores at the registered time, ensure production, business and circulation of goods.
Authorities and localities will strengthen market inspection and supervision activities, focusing on checking prices, product quality, food safety regulations, acts of speculation, hoarding, unreasonable price increases, legal regulations on petroleum trading, quality inspection, measurement, and selling prices of petroleum circulating on the market, and strictly handling violations of the law.
