According to information from the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), a series of enterprises in the real estate and energy sector are late in paying principal and interest on bonds, with the amount of late payment reaching thousands of billions of VND.

According to the published information, R&H Group Joint Stock Company is late in paying interest on bonds coded RHGCH2124006. This is a domestically issued individual bond, with a total value of VND 2,000 billion. The enterprise is due to pay interest on March 28, the amount is more than VND54.2 billion, with an interest rate of 11%/year.

However, R&H said that due to prolonged economic difficulties, it has not yet arranged a payment source and is negotiating with investors to find a solution to handle the payment delay.

Nam Land Company Limited has also just announced the situation of late payment of bonds coded NALCH2124001, issued domestically with a total value of VND900 billion, interest rate of 11.9%/year. These bonds have a principal payment date of July 13, 2024 and have three interest payment periods in 2024. As of March 27, 2025, Nam Land has not paid any principal or interest. The total amount of late payment obligations is up to more than VND 980 billion, including VND 900 billion in principal and VND 80.7 billion in interest.

Regarding the reason, the company said that due to prolonged economic difficulties, it has not yet arranged a payment source, and is negotiating with investors on the payment of principal and interest on bonds.

A similar situation also occurs at Dai Thinh Phat Construction Investment Joint Stock Company. This enterprise announced a delay in paying interest on bonds coded DPJ12201 with an amount of VND 4.96 billion. The bonds have a principal value of VND 500 billion, and are due for interest payment on March 29, 2025 at an interest rate of 12.5%/year.

According to the content of the publication, the reason for the slow payment is due to prolonged economic difficulties and is working with partners to structure assets and cash flow. The company has announced the plan to implement the debt repayment plan for investors and update the implementation progress periodically. Currently, the company is negotiating with investors to agree on handling plans.

BB Power Holdings Joint Stock Company, operating in the field of energy investment, has just announced information about the delay in paying bonds coded BBP.H.20.23.001. This is a bond with a total outstanding principal of nearly VND300 billion, interest rate of 8%/year, due for payment on March 25, 2025. The total amount due for payment in this period is more than VND 348 billion, including nearly VND 300 billion in principal and more than VND 48 billion in interest.

However, the enterprise has only paid VND 46.4 billion, the unpaid amount is up to more than VND 301 billion. Regarding the reason, BB Power Holdings said that the company does not have a payment source and is currently seeking opinions to extend the repayment period.
