Many attractive special mechanisms and policies
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, the forum "Connecting Enterprises - 2024" organized by Lao Dong Newspaper in coordination with the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks, and the Da Nang City Labor Federation opened on the afternoon of October 9 with the participation of nearly 400 guests who are businessmen, investors and leaders of the Da Nang City government.
At the forum, Mr. Tran Van Ty - Deputy Head of the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones - said: The National Assembly has issued Resolution 136 on the organization of urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang City. Accordingly, the National Assembly agreed to allow Da Nang to pilot a number of specific mechanisms and policies on financial management, state budget; investment management; planning management, urban, natural resources, environment; priority industries and occupations to attract strategic investors to the city.
Da Nang has also piloted a number of specific mechanisms and policies on investment in the development of semiconductors, artificial intelligence, science and technology management and innovation. The most notable of these is the National Assembly's agreement to establish the Da Nang Free Trade Zone associated with Lien Chieu seaport, with the goal of attracting investment, finance, trade, tourism and high-quality services.
With its location in the center of Central Vietnam, Da Nang has convenient traffic conditions, easy connection with neighboring provinces and international cities, and many advantages to develop and establish a Free Trade Zone as the gateway to the Central region, connecting with roads, railways and international airports...
The geographical convenience helps Da Nang attract investment from the region, while stimulating the flow of trade and services from other provinces and cities. This will create a solid foundation for the development of the Free Trade Zone.
Benefits of joining the Free Trade Zone
Mr. Tran Van Ty said: When participating in the Free Trade Zone, businesses will receive many benefits, especially businesses in industrial parks located on the main traffic routes of Da Nang City; businesses along national highways and expressways. Especially Lien Chieu Industrial Park with the infrastructure business investor being Saigon - Da Nang Investment Joint Stock Company, with a part of the area of Lien Chieu Industrial Park (79ha) currently being proposed as a functional area of the Free Trade Zone.
The formation of a free trade zone will stimulate trade and investment: Enterprises can access a larger market at lower costs, attracting increased foreign direct investment (FDI). At the same time, enterprises are forced to improve their competitiveness to meet market demand. A free trade zone will promote economic growth by contributing to creating a favorable business environment, promoting economic growth and creating jobs.
Consumers can access a wide range of goods at more competitive prices, improving their lives. The free trade zone also contributes to strengthening international economic cooperation and integration, promoting peace and stability in the region.
At the forum, Mr. Tran Van Ty committed to businesses and investors: In the coming time, the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks will continue to promote the focal role of the management agency of high-tech parks, concentrated information technology parks and industrial parks in the city in effectively implementing investment promotion activities and actively integrating into international cooperation.
"We will strengthen foreign affairs and trade activities with international and multinational corporations and organizations; promote research cooperation and technology transfer. We also commit to supporting and creating favorable conditions for investors to learn, research, invest and expand operations in high-tech parks, concentrated information technology parks and industrial parks, especially the Da Nang Free Trade Zone," said Mr. Ty.
