On the morning of November 12, 2024, informing the press about the 24th International Agricultural Fair (AgroViet 2024), Mr. Hoang Du - Deputy Director of the Center for Agricultural Trade Promotion (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development - NNPTNT), said: Unlike the fairs held before, AgroViet 2024 will create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to trade with many enterprises from countries: China, India, Mongolia, Australia, Russia, Korea... In particular, at this fair, Vietnamese enterprises and visitors can come into contact with many machines, means of agricultural production, agricultural processing machines that countries bring to Vietnam to participate in the fair, especially machines and equipment from China.
"The 2024 International Exhibition Area for Post-Harvest Processing Machinery and Technology is a highlight of the fair, aiming to display and introduce advances and improvements in post-harvest processing machinery and technology available on the international market with many types of machines, equipment, and technology serving the production and processing of agricultural products; post-harvest processing technology; gardening and farming technology; irrigation technology; livestock and crop farming technology... This is a new highlight, because in previous years, due to difficult conditions for transporting goods, foreign enterprises mainly introduced sample products through catalogs," said Mr. Du.
According to Mr. Hoang Du, in preparation for this fair, during business trips abroad, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development met and discussed with organizations such as the Import-Export Association, the Yunnan Department of Commerce, and a number of economic groups, the Viet Trung Company... to select reputable enterprises that want to cooperate with Vietnam, bringing their strong products to Vietnam to participate in the fair. At the same time, they searched for enterprises that really have a need to import Vietnamese agricultural products.
"Chinese equipment and machinery are suitable for Vietnam's production conditions, so this time we invited many Chinese enterprises in this field to bring machines serving agricultural production such as: plowing, transplanting, tilling, processing, drolls for irrigation, pesticide spraying, field inspection... At the same time, we brought materials, equipment, chemicals, seeds... to serve agricultural production. On the other hand, many Chinese enterprises are looking for partners to import agricultural products from Vietnam" - Mr. Hoang Du emphasized.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen - Deputy Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, within the scale of 250 standard booths, participating in the fair, Vietnamese enterprises also have the opportunity to introduce many agricultural products, especially OCOP products (one product per commune), seek trade opportunities with foreign enterprises, and promote agricultural exports. In particular, currently, Vietnam's livestock export turnover is still limited, this conference will create opportunities to promote the export of livestock products to this market.
Within the framework of the fair, many important events will also take place: Vietnam - Mongolia Agricultural Products Promotion Forum (held on November 20, 2024), to exchange information on the reality of agricultural development of the two countries, the potential and strengths of each country, the ability to penetrate and supplement the agricultural product market; difficulties and obstacles in investment cooperation, import and export of goods and agricultural products between Vietnam - Mongolia...;
