On October 15, 2025, the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board issued a decision approving the contractor selection results of Package No. 15: Construction of works (including equipment and acceptance of electricity handover) of the project, Truong Son Construction Corporation was the winning bidder with a price of more than 71.7 billion VND).
Package 15 of the project is constructed in Gia Phu commune, Lao Cai province, implementing items such as: Traffic roads, leveling, surface drainage, power supply, water supply... The total leveling area of the entire project is about 11.98ha (divided into 6 levels); 6 new traffic routes will be built with a length of 2,948m.
The project will be implemented to create a site to arrange and relocate production facilities in the Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park and Son Man Industrial Park to serve the site clearance of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway construction investment project - a project with a total capital of VND203,231 billion, equivalent to 8.37 billion USD.

The project to build the road connecting Ban Vuoc border gate to Y Ty, Coc My - Trinh Tuong section (Km7+500 to Km16) - with a total investment of more than 337.5 billion VND, the Bat Xat construction investment project management board is the investor and project investor.
On September 13, 2025, the Bat Xat Construction Investment Project Management Board announced the bidding for Package No. 18: Construction + Traffic Safety Assurance + Environmental Protection Fee (Phase 2) of the project. Also in the old Bat Xat district, the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board has recently implemented the project to build a running road along the Red River connecting Ban Vuoc border gate to Y Ty, from Km4+300 to Km7+500, a branch line and a bridge over Ngoi Phat stream with a total investment of 380 billion VND.

On August 15, 2025, the investor issued a decision approving the results of contractor selection for Package No. 27: Construction of works - Category: Handling locations affected by landslides on positive and negative slopes, damage to road surfaces, and vertical ditches caused by storms - of the project, with the winning bid price of more than 82.5 billion VND.
Package No. 27 will supplement and handle landslides on positive and negative slopes, damaged road surfaces, vertical ditches, traffic safety systems and other damages along the entire route caused by rain and storms.
The investment goal of the project is to upgrade infrastructure, gradually complete the transportation system in the two districts of the old Yen Bai province, Van Yen and Van Chan, create conditions for people to travel and trade goods, improve the material and spiritual life of people in the project area, promote socio-economic development and ensure security and national defense of the locality and the region.
