An Giang agricultural and commodity products have high expectations for the Cambodian market

An Giang brings many products on display, which are high-potential items in the Cambodian market and are attracting the attention of domestic consumers.

Within the framework of the Vietnam Trade Fair 2025 in Cambodia (from December 4 to 7), An Giang province's enterprises participated in the Business Cooperation program " markete opportunities for Cambodian products in the new era".

The program is organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Cambodia to promote business connection activities (Business Matching), support domestic and foreign manufacturers and enterprises to access new consumption trends, and expand bilateral trade cooperation.

At this event, An Giang businesses brought many outstanding products to display and connect with trade, including: bird's nest, products processed from bird's nest; Dried processed seafood; Whole wild honey; Special agricultural products such as rice, rice cakes, dried mangoes, dried bananas; canned foods... These are all items with high potential in the Cambodian market and are being interested by domestic consumers.

According to the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, this Business Matching program creates conditions for An Giang enterprises to meet Cambodian importers, distributors and retail chains, investors in the fields of agriculture - processing industry, service enterprises, travel, and bilateral trade. Through direct connection activities, An Giang enterprises expect to expand their distribution system, seek strategic partners and increase product recognition in Cambodia.

Participating in this year's fair, An Giang province has 5 typical enterprises including: KTC Food canned food factory, FANZA Salanganes Nest Company, Thai Thuy Seafood Company Limited, Nong Phat Dat Company and Thanh Phu Production, Trade and Service Company Limited, with key products such as processed seafood, canned foods, bird's nest, honey and dried agricultural products.

Mr. Cao Van Thai, director of Thai Thuy Seafood Company Limited, said: From the first day of opening, Thai Thuy's booth welcomed many Cambodian customers to learn about buying spicy shrimp drying products, fish with fish sauce, and crispy dried fish. The Cambodian market has great potential, I expect to sign long-term distribution contracts after the fair.

Mr. Dang Thanh Thien Hau - Director of FANZA Salanganes Nest Company said that this year the enterprise brought many products such as traditional refined bird's nest, tofu, sublimated dried bird's nest and products combined with palm sugar, water coconut, flavors suitable for Cambodian tastes.

Our goal is to find large, wholesale distributors to gradually expand the market. I consider Cambodia a very potential market with increasing people's income, an increasingly open economy and a large Chinese community - a large group of customers consuming bird's nest. Through the fair, businesses expect to boost exports, increase product value and develop sustainably, Mr. Hau emphasized.

A representative of KTC Food Food Factory said that processed canned fish products have received great attention from local customers. Cambodian consumers highly appreciate the quality and convenience of Vietnamese products. This is a positive signal for businesses to expand their distribution channels in this market, said a representative of KTC Food.

According to Deputy Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of An Giang province - Nguyen Viet Anh, bringing An Giang enterprises to participate in the Fair is a key trade promotion activity to support enterprises in expanding export markets.

Cambodia is a market close to An Giang province, with many similarities in consumer tastes. Through the fair, the Center hopes to help An Giang enterprises promote their brands, connect with international partners and customers, and gradually form a stable distribution system of goods in Cambodia and the region, Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh emphasized.

With a population of nearly 18 million people, rapidly increasing consumer demand and an increasingly improved investment environment, Cambodia is considered a potential market for Vietnamese goods.

The business cooperation program " markete opportunities for Cambodian products in the new era" is considered an important highlight, contributing to strengthening economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, while opening up new opportunities for businesses in the Mekong Delta region, including those of An Giang province - to bring high-quality products to the Cambodian market.
