The 14th People's Council of Quang Ninh province has just passed a Resolution on adjusting and supplementing socio-economic development tasks in 2025 at the 25th Session, taking place on February 26, 2025.
One of the key solutions to achieve the GRDP growth target of 14% is to promote the development of industrial parks (IPs) and industrial clusters (IPs) to attract investment and develop processing and manufacturing industries.
According to the plan, in 2025, the province will develop 2 to 4 new industrial parks, including: Dong Mai Industrial Park (expanded), Dong Trieu Industrial Park, Industrial Park North of Van Don Airport, Hai Ha Industrial Park (phase 2).
Quang Ninh will also speed up the progress of technical infrastructure investment in Dong Mai Industrial Park (Quang Yen Town) and Van Don Industrial Park (Van Don District). The goal is that by the end of 2025, the whole province will have at least 5 new industrial clusters established
According to the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 80/QD-TTg dated February 11, 2023, Quang Ninh province sets a goal of developing 5 economic zones (KKT), 23 IPs and 45 CCN.
In order to turn TTIs and industrial parks into pillars of economic growth, Quang Ninh has developed a Project "Building and developing TTIs, TTIs and industrial parks sustainably by 2030, with a vision to 2040".
The project emphasizes innovation, improving investment attraction efficiency, prioritizing high-tech, environmentally friendly and high added value industries.
Currently, Quang Ninh has 7 IPs that have been established and have investors in infrastructure and leased land for production development, including: Cai Lan, Viet Hung, Hai Yen, Dong Mai IPs, Hai Ha Seaport, Song Khoai, Nha Mac Dam (Nam Tien Phong, Bac Tien Phong)
The remaining industrial parks are in the process of preparing, approving planning and selecting investors.
Regarding industrial parks, the whole province currently has 11 industrial parks with a total area of 577.55 hectares. Of which, 6 industrial parks have completed technical infrastructure and put into operation with a total area of 375.39 hectares, the remaining 5 industrial parks are implementing infrastructure investment, including: Dong Mai Industrial Park (Quang Yen town), Van Don (Van Don district), Trang An (Dong Trieu city), Yen Than (Tien Yen district), Dong Dam Ha B (Dam Ha district).
With the strategy of expanding industrial park and industrial park infrastructure, Quang Ninh expects to create momentum to attract investment, promote sustainable economic development in the coming years.
