On the morning of September 9, 2024, at the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the National Innovation Center and the Vietnam Innovation Day 2024, the Vietnam Innovation Center (NIC) - Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) officially launched the Vietnam Innovation Network Platform - a "knowledge platform" connecting leading experts with startups and businesses.
Mr. Vu Quoc Huy - Director of NIC said that this platform is like a bridge, helping Vietnamese talents around the world interact, create new ideas and realize ideas into high-value products and services, contributing to the country's economic growth.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc emphasized: Innovation contributes to innovation based on science and technology.
After 5 years of establishment, NIC has built policies in innovation to support small and medium enterprises, completed the infrastructure of operating facilities; built mechanisms and preferential policies for innovation; developed the Vietnamese innovation ecosystem with full participation of all stakeholders; supported enterprises in accessing resources; participated in developing high-quality human resources in Vietnam...
"The establishment of NIC demonstrates the Government's strong determination to make innovation one of Vietnam's growth drivers in the new era," Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc assessed.
According to Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, within the framework of the 5th anniversary celebration of NIC, "Vietnam Innovation Day 2024" is a place to connect, meet, and look back on the 5-year journey of formation and development, highlighting the mark of "Aspiration - Pioneer - Breakthrough".
One of the highlights of Innovate Vietnam 2024 is the Better Choice Awards (BCA).
"This year, the award categories have changed a lot compared to last year, they are more diverse and increasingly "suitable" to consumer needs," said Mr. Huy.
From October 1-2, 2024, NIC - Ministry of Planning and Investment will organize the 5th anniversary celebration and Vietnam Innovation Day, expected to welcome 20,000 visitors.
Within the framework of the festival, the celebration program is expected to have the participation of Government leaders, leaders of central and local ministries and agencies, international organizations, domestic and international technology corporations.
"On this occasion, the Chairman of Meta Group will attend the event and announce Meta's long-term commitments in the Vietnamese market," Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc affirmed.
