The workshop was attended by leaders of Sa Pa town, scientists, experts, speakers from research institutes, universities, relevant departments and branches and representatives of businesses and investors in the fields of tourism, economy, and technology.
In his opening speech, Sa Pa Town Party Secretary Phan Dang Toan said: With majestic natural landscapes, diverse cultural identities and unique climates, Sa Pa is not only a tourism symbol of the Northwest region, but also affirms its position as a National Tourist Area on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world. Sa Pa's strategic goal by 2030 is to build a National Tourism Area of international stature, becoming a clean tourist city that meets ASEAN standards.
The Secretary of the Sa Pa Town Party Committee emphasized the importance of the night-time economy in promoting tourism development and improving the lives of local people.

Sa Pa is not only an attractive tourist destination during the day but also has strong potential for development at night. Building a systematic and sustainable night-time economic model will make Sa Pa a dynamic and attractive destination for 24 hours. Thereby, improving local competitiveness, creating more jobs and promoting economic growth, said Mr. Phan Dang Toan.
Many opinions at the workshop said that Sa Pa needs to have a methodical strategy for developing the night-time economy, focusing on planning night spaces associated with indigenous culture; developing unique tourism products such as night markets, art performances, tours to explore villages at night, combined with the application of digital technology such as digital maps...

Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Son (Head of the Faculty of Economic Development, National Economics University) said: "Night-time economy is not simply an extension of business time, but also a modern economic development strategy, increasing value for the tourism and service industry. Cities around the world have taken advantage of this model to increase income, promote economic life and develop sustainable urban areas".
Associate Professor. Dr. Le Quang Canh (Director of the Institute of Sustainable Development, National Economics University) said that Sa Pa needs a long-term strategy to "Show up the night - Light up the economy" and propose a tourism model with three priority actions including: Building a clear management mechanism to ensure security, environment and sustainability; Encouraging investment in new tourism services, especially night-time entertainment with high added value; Applying technology and smart tourism to optimize night-time economic activities and enhance the experience of tourists.

Concluding the workshop, Chairman of Sa Pa Town People's Committee To Ngoc Lien said that in the coming time, the locality will focus on completing the planning and policies for developing the night-time economy in a synchronous and methodical manner, creating a favorable environment for businesses and people to participate.
In addition, developing a variety of types of night-time economic products and services, especially focusing on exploiting indigenous cultural identity combined with the trend of the times.
