Son La organizes a festival to honor the flavor of Arabica coffee

Son La - Thousands of people gathered at the Chieng An Coffee Festival 2025 with many activities to experience and honor the flavor of Arabica.

On November 14 and 15, the People's Committee of Chieng An Ward coordinated with the Coffee Association of Son La Province to organize the first Chieng An Coffee Festival with the theme " Arabica - Spreading the Northwest flavor".

Not only is it a key agricultural product promotion event, the festival also creates a unique cultural space, attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over the world.

Taking place at Trung Tam Stadium, the festival brings many rich activities such as: visiting coffee photo exhibition; garden and sample coffee model; coffee picking contest; displaying coffee-based products; coffee brewing performances of businesses and cooperatives.

The auxiliary space is equally vibrant with 54 booths introducing coffee, local agricultural products, OCOP products; the check-in experience area "Coffee Harvest Festival"; along with 27 traditional meal trays and traditional cultural and sports activities.

Chieng An ward currently has 1,987 hectares of coffee, with an output of 8-10 tons/ha - equivalent to more than 15,000 tons/year, and an estimated revenue of 433 billion VND.

In particular, since 2018, farming households have been testing more than 50 hectares of new high-quality varieties such as THA1, TN1, TN6, TN7, TN9, TN10... to open up the development direction of specialty coffee.

Mr. Nghiem Van Tuan, Chairman of Chieng An Ward People's Committee shared: "The Coffee Festival not only honors Arabica beans but is also an opportunity for groups and villages to exchange and connect; at the same time, affirming the Chieng An and Son La Arabica coffee brands in the market".

At the booth, Phieng Tam General Agricultural Cooperative attracts many visitors. Mr. Ca Van Danh, Director of the Cooperative, said: "We bring grain coffee, specialty filling coffee and try on-site so that visitors can fully feel the flavor of Chieng An coffee".

Coming from Hanoi, tourist Pham Quang Hung expressed his excitement: The first time attending the coffee festival, I was impressed by the Thai cultural space and typical Arabica flavor of Son La. A very memorable experience.
