According to information from the Hai Phong Market Management Department, on October 7, the E-commerce Task Force of the Hai Phong Market Management Department suddenly inspected the business household N.V.T located in Vinh Bao town, Vinh Bao district.
During a physical inspection at the business location, the inspection team discovered nearly 800 products including clothes, shoes, and sandals of all kinds. The business owner was unable to present invoices or documents proving the origin of the goods.
Of these, nearly 300 pants, shirts, shoes and sandals showed signs of counterfeiting, with a value of nearly 40 million VND; 500 pants and shirts of unknown origin, with a value of more than 50 million VND. The above prices were calculated based on the prices listed directly on the products at the business at the time of inspection.
The inspection team has temporarily detained all of the above goods for handling according to regulations.
The Market Management Department forecasts that from now until the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, the buying and selling of goods will be very active due to the increasing demand for goods, the situation of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods continues to be complicated and unpredictable. The E-commerce Task Force continues to proactively collect, receive and verify information on cases with signs of violations of the law on trading in smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, banned goods, goods of unknown origin and goods that infringe intellectual property rights in e-commerce.
