Bustling trading at dawn at the fishing port on the eve of Tet
TRẦN TUẤN |
Ha Tinh – Early morning on January 23, at Cua Sot Fishing Port (Thach Kim commune, Thach Ha district), seafood trading was bustling.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, at nearly 5am, at Cua Sot Fishing Port, boats docked and brought fresh seafood ashore to sell to traders.
On the shore, many traders buy in large quantities, then resell to some small traders, each about 100kg - 200kg, then they carry it on their motorbikes to some markets in the city and district to sell for profit.
According to some fishermen, they had a big hit on this last fishing trip of the year. The nearshore fishing boats left the previous afternoon and returned this morning earning from 20 to 30 million VND. The big boats fished for about 5 days and sold for nearly 100 million VND.
Near Tet, seafood prices increase by 15-20%, so fishermen are excited and have plenty of money to spend during Tet.
Here are some photos taken by reporters of seafood trading at Cua Sot Fishing Port early in the morning of January 23.
