Dong Thap Electronic Information Portal reported that on the morning of November 29, at Hung Vuong Square, Tay Bac Investment Group Joint Stock Company, Kajima Vietnam Limited Liability Company, AEON Vietnam Limited Liability Company jointly organized the Launching Ceremony and Construction of technical infrastructure of AEON My Tho Shopping Center.
Attending the ceremony were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Chau Thi My Phuong; former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Vinh; Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Dieu.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Dieu said that on June 10, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province (now Dong Thap province) coordinated with Tay Bac Investment Group Joint Stock Company and AEON Vietnam Limited Liability Company to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the Tien Giang Provincial Trade - Service Center project and awarded the Investment Registration Certificate. After 4 months, thanks to the proactiveness and coordination of departments, branches, localities and investors, the project has met the conditions to conduct site clearance and implement the following items.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that, with the prestige and professionalism of the construction unit, the project will be constructed quickly, ensuring quality, meeting people's shopping needs and contributing to promoting trade - services, and developing the local socio-economy; affirming that the province will continue to accompany and provide maximum support for the project to be implemented smoothly according to plan.
Mr. Dieu hopes that AEON Vietnam will coordinate with the locality to develop a purchasing plan, bringing the province's goods into the AEON system supply chain.
The Tien Giang Province Trade - Service Center Project is located in Hung Vuong Square (Dao Thanh Commune Ward) with a total area of over 3 hectares, including residential land and commercial area land. The project was approved by the People's Committee of Tien Giang province (now Dong Thap province) in April 2024. After winning the auction, Tay Bac Group transferred about 02 hectares of commercial land to AEON Vietnam Limited Liability Company to build a Trade Center, with a total investment of about 1,155 billion VND.
The project not only has great significance in economic and trade development but also promises to become a bustling business location, contributing to creating a civilized, modern and internationally integrated living space of Dong Thap province in the coming time.
