At Ms. Vo Thi Thu Hong's pork stall in Tan My market (Tan My ward), the "Responsibility Green Stick" pork selling model is officially put into operation. Consumers can identify standard products through signs and identification stamps attached at the stalls.
This is one of the pork selling points at traditional markets participating in the "Responsibility Green Stick" program to enhance the recognition of products with clear origins, ensure food safety and connect with transparent supply chains.
“Previously, I only sold pig organs, purchasing power was quite low. When the market management board introduced this model, I decided to participate. I see that the process is strictly controlled and implemented methodically, so I am very assured to do business” - Ms. Hong shared.

At Tan My market, there are 2 "Responsibility Green" pork selling points. At the same time, these are also the first selling points to use pork source traded through the exchange, bringing products directly from the farm to consumers without going through any intermediaries.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung - Deputy Head of Trade Management Department of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, sales points only trade products traded through the exchange, ensuring traceability and meeting food safety standards. This model is likened to bringing products with quality equivalent to supermarket systems to traditional markets.
For small traders, the program supports building brand identity to increase recognition and attract customers. In addition, accessing direct sources of goods at original prices, without intermediaries, helps reduce input costs, thereby improving business efficiency and increasing income.
For consumers, the "Responsibility Green Label" sign is a commitment to the quality and safety of products sold at the market. The pilot program at Tan My market will be the basis for Ho Chi Minh City to study and replicate the model to more than 400 markets in the area in the near future.
We expect people to trust and accompany us, because the goal of the program is to strive to bring quality and food safety products at reasonable prices for consumers" - Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung said.
Green Stick responsibility" - a quality control cooperation program launched by Ho Chi Minh City from March 2024, with the participation of suppliers, retailers, management agencies and consumers.
Suppliers voluntarily undergo quality supervision, prevent defective goods from reaching consumers and are identified as "Responsible Green Tiles". Retailers commit to coordinating quality control, preventing poor quality goods and prioritizing support for products that achieve "Responsible Green Tiles".
