Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao said that Vietjet currently has more than 100 new, modern, fuel-efficient aircraft carrying the red flag with yellow star, the Hello Vietnam melody, the Ho Chi Minh song and the symbol of Vietnam Tourism with more than 200 million passengers transported, nearly 150 routes across Vietnam and internationally, promoting the aviation industry to innovate from fuel engineering, flight operations, awakening dozens of local airports, attracting foreign investment in training, technology, component manufacturing...
Sovico and Vietjet have established the Innovation Hub, bringing Vietnamese brands to the world, bringing Pho Thin and Vietnamese bread on planes to introduce to international customers.
With the spirit that wherever Vietnamese aircraft fly, the Vietnamese sky opens up, Vietjet has brought the bell to strike foreign lands, establishing Vietjet Thailand with 20 aircraft, among the leading airlines in Thailand.
Vietjet's Chairman said that in Vietnam, Vietjet brings in about 30 - 40% of the revenue of aviation and petroleum service businesses... in the state system.
In 2023, the airline will transport up to 6.8 million international passengers, promoting tourism with new routes bringing new passengers from India with 1.4 billion people; Indonesia with 300 million people, Australia, Kazakhstan, the gateway to Russia, and the Central Asia region with 200 million people.
Recently, Vietjet has transported passengers from India, Kazakhstan to Vietnam, Australia, Indonesia... Vietnam is a center for training human resources and aviation technology. Vietjet Aviation Academy is modern, with top facilities in the region, cooperating with Airbus to train 50,000 students annually.
Businesswoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao shared: “Businesses should dream big, let’s turn Vietnam into a driving force for aviation development in the region and the world. With a favorable location, let’s urgently invest and upgrade the international airport system to become an international passenger and cargo transit center like Bangkok, Singapore, Korea…”.
Vietjet Chairman affirmed that Vietnam has the conditions and capacity to build a hangar system as infrastructure for a regional aircraft technical service center at one of Vietnam's airports.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao said that Vietnamese enterprises have begun to produce aircraft components. With a large number of aircraft orders, Vietnam has the conditions to become a component manufacturing center and develop the aircraft assembly and support industry, just as China is producing Boeing aircraft components and assembling Airbus aircraft.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao also affirmed her determination to join hands to complete the growth targets set by the Government, affirming that Sovico Group and businesses such as Vietjet will continue to make efforts and make persistent contributions to the rapid and sustainable development of Vietnam's aviation and tourism industries.
She also expressed her belief that there is a bright future ahead for the Vietnamese economy with the pioneering spirit of aviation and tourism businesses and ethnic entrepreneurs, working together to bring that future closer.
